The Shelburne Players proudly announce auditions for:
Hatchford Hotel
A New Musical
by Adam Rabin and Greg Skillman
Check in. Things escalate quickly.

We are casting a fearless, high-energy ensemble for Hatchford Hotel, a brand-new musical that is dark, fast-paced, and laugh-out-loud funny—with just enough chaos to keep everyone on edge.
Set in a suspiciously familiar corner of Vermont, this show dives headfirst into local lore, strange traditions, and the kind of characters you swear you’ve met before… or are trying to avoid. Expect rapid-fire scenes, sharp humor, unexpected turns, and a score that moves just as fast as the story.
AUDITIONS:
Audition dates: Monday June 15th or Tuesday June 16th (pick one) from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
Audition location: the historic Town Hall in Shelburne, attached to the Pierson Library
Callbacks (if necessary) will be Thursday June 18th

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Bold actor-singers with strong comedic instincts
Performers who can think fast, move fast, and commit fully
Excellent ensemble players comfortable with quick transitions and multi-role casting
Physical storytellers who aren’t afraid of big choices
Strong musicality; harmonization skills a plus
PERFORMANCES:
October 2-10, 2026
Performers must be available for all final dress rehearsals the week of September 27th

Welcome to the Hatchford Hotel—where the maple runs thick, the stories run deeper, and you’ll learn more about Vermont than you ever wanted to know.
It’s strange. It’s specific. It’s moving fast.
Try to keep up.
No experience with Vermont required.
Survival instincts recommended.
