Disney's "Newsies" has something for everyone! Great MALE & FEMALE opportunities of ALL AGES. Character roles and great ensemble parts for Adults, Young Adults & Teens! The minimum age to audition is 12 for the part of the youngest Newsie, Les Jacobs.Set in turn-of-the century New York City, “Newsies” is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged newsboys. When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at their expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what's right! “Newsies” is packed with non-stop thrills and a timeless message, perfect for the whole family and every audience.

Short Version: Be prepared to sing 16 bars of a song and to perform a short musical theatre dance combination. If auditioning for a lead role, have a 1-2 minute monologue. Don’t forget to bring your music track. Attend either of both days of auditions. Minimum age 12. Video auditions welcome.
