About this Event
LYNDON BLUE & MATT AITKEN
The coin toss, the pigskin. The green maggot's whistle, the "fire in the belly." White Line Fever is a devotional gathering of Aussie Rules Football disciples, exploring the agony and ecstasy of fandom. Here, in a swirl of light, sound and training drills, strange figures guide you through the underworld of modern footy culture.
White Line Fever takes the form of an immersive audiovisual work with live sound, monologues, video and performance. It has been commissioned by Next Wave and is co-presented by Tone List and Next Wave as part of the Audible Edge festival. Doors open at 7:15 for a 7:30pm start in the auditorium of the Midland Junction Arts Centre.
-
Accessibility: Midland Junction Arts Centre is wheelchair accessible with accessible bathrooms; a site map including ACROD parking bays can be viewed on the MJAC website. The work contains video and staging elements which are not audio described.
Presented by Tone List as part of the Audible Edge Festival of Sound: Djilba program. (http://ae.tonelist.com.au/).
The Audible Edge Festival is supported by the Department of Local Government, Sports and Cultural Industries. White Line Fever is commissioned, developed and presented by Tone List and Next Wave.
