Beetroot House presents on June 16: Aubade, a new video installation by Fani Boudouroglou curated by Panos Giannikopoulos
The work follows the quadruped robot as it moves through a riverside forest landscape at dawn, exploring shifts in the relationship between human, animal, and machine. Through an atmospheric projection and sound composition, Aubade raises questions around recognition, presence, and the ways we perceive the non-human.
As part of the opening on 16/06, an open conversation between the artist and curator Panos Giannikopoulos will take place from 20:00 to 20:30, followed by the continuation of the screening until 22:00.
The project was implemented with the support of the Institute of Sustainable Mobility and Transport Networks (IMET) of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH). Special thanks are extended to Dr. Vasileios Kappatos, Director of IMET/CERTH, for his support and contribution to the implementation of the project, as well as to Georgios Danis, Scientific Associate at IMET/CERTH, for operating the robotic system.
Το Beetroot House παρουσιάζει στις 16 Ιουνίου τη νέα βιντεοεγκατάσταση Aubade της Φανής Μπουντούρογλου σε επιμέλεια Πάνου Γιαννικόπουλου.
Το έργο ακολουθεί το τετράποδο ρομπότ σε μια διαδρομή μέσα σε ένα παρόχθιο δασικό τοπίο την ώρα της αυγής, διερευνώντας τις μετατοπίσεις στη σχέση ανθρώπου, ζώου και μηχανής. Μέσα από μια ατμοσφαιρική προβολή και ηχητική σύνθεση, το Aubade θέτει ερωτήματα γύρω από την αναγνώριση, την παρουσία και τους τρόπους με τους οποίους αντιλαμβανόμαστε το μη ανθρώπινο.
Στα εγκαίνια 16/06 θα πραγματοποιηθεί ανοιχτή συζήτηση της καλλιτέχνιδας με τον επιμελητή Πάνο Γιαννικόπουλο από τις 20:00 έως τις 20:30, ενώ η προβολή του έργου θα συνεχιστεί έως τις 22:00.
