Join ATX Fusion at the Rhythm House Dance Studio, on the 1st Sunday of each month! We offer a class at 7pm, followed by DJ'd dancing from 8-11pm.

9:30-11pm: Dj J. Colby
**PRICING**
Sliding scale: $10-25. We accept card, cash, or Venmo at the door.
We believe in making our events accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial situation, so our scale begins at $10. We also want to offer reasonable pricing options for those who can only join us for part of the night. However, we really encourage you to pay at least $15 if you are able, so that we can maintain the quality of the event 🙏
CLASS TOPIC: Fusion Foundations
CLASS DESCRIPTION: The last Fusion Foundations we had class was about footwork. The one before that was more about frame. This one will be about dance connections. Some are physical connections, where dancers' bodies meet & touch, others aspects of the dancer connection can be more abstract. Both are intrinsic to great dance experiences. We'll explore & try out different aspects. This is an all levels class that J. Colby will adapt to the dancers who participate.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
LOCATION:
We Are Moving! This will be our first event at Rhythm House Dance Studios, also known as Rhythm House ATX. 4622 S. Lamar Blvd., Austin, Tx, 78745 is the address. It's just off the access road of 290 West, just past Westgate. There's a building in front of it, closer to the access road, that's part of the Lutheran Church next door. Follow the driveway to the house shaped building behind this part of the Lutheran Church. You should be able to see their business sign, and we'll post a photo of that sign soon.
PLEASE NOTE:
Please feel free to BYO beverages & snacks, especially water, dancing is a physical activity after all!
Only soft-soled dance shoes, socks, or bare feet are allowed on the studio floor. Please do not wear street shoes, heels, or hard-heeled shoes on the studio floor, as they will damage it. Help us keep this beautiful venue in great shape!
If you're feeling under the weather or ill, please don't attend! Take care of yourself, and avoid bringing a contagion to a crowded space and dance partners you care about.

WHAT IS FUSION DANCING?
Fusion is an improvisational partner dance where there's a lead and a follow that isn't confined to or defined by one style. Fusion dancers tend to be familiar with the basics of more than one partner dance (Blues, Tango, West Coast Swing, Brazilian Zouk, Lindy Hop, etc.)
