ATUSA Official Tango Championship & Festival is a 4 day double tango event held from April 6 to April 9 2023 in San Jose CA.

ATUSA consists of the sole national official tango championship and an amazing high quality TANGO FESTIVAL (including 32 tango dance workshops a DJ workshop two master shows special performances and 31+ hours of social dancing).

ATUSA is the US Official Preliminary of the TANGO BUENOS AIRES FESTIVAL & DANCE WORLD CUP (the Tango Mundial) sanctioned by the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires and ruled by the Direction of the Tango Buenos Aires Festival & Dance World Cup - the highest authorities for Argentine Tango in the world.

ATUSA brings in the most experienced internationally Renowned Argentine Tango Maestros Judges and expert DJS.

OFFICIAL USA TANGO CHAMPIONSHIP:

Competing couples have the opportunity to shine in high level competition in front of an international renowned expert Jury Panel approved by the Tango Buenos Aires Dance World Cup.

COMPETITION CATEGORIES 2023:

1. TANGO DE PISTA: Official; open to amateur & professional dancers. Residence restrictions apply.

2. STAGE TANGO: Official- open amateur & professional dancers. Residence restrictions apply.

3. MILONGA: open to amateur & professional dancers. NO residence restrictions.

4. VALS: open to amateur & professional dancers. NO residence restrictions.

5. SALON TANGO SENIOR open to social dancers only. No professionals allowed. Age restrictions apply. No residence restrictions.

6. SO YOU THINK YOU CAN TANGO open to social dancers only. No professionals allowed. No residence restrictions.
