Attracting and retaining talent through the use of share schemes

Share schemes are often touted as a great way to incentivise employees, and they certainly can be, but it is all too easy for these schemes to fail to achieve the desired objectives and sometimes they have no impact at all. In support of the Leeds Digital Festival, this joint session from BHP and Clarion will look at the different types of schemes and their relative pros and cons, especially for tech start-ups; how to implement share schemes effectively to properly incentivise talented individuals, and what the common pitfalls are to avoid. They will also briefly touch on some alternative incentives to consider for those circumstances where share schemes are not the right answer.

This event will give you a great opportunity to put forward questions to legal and financial experts, and gain tips and advice from your peers. Registration, breakfast and networking will be from 09:00 – 09:30 am at Clarion’s office and the session will run from 09:30 – 10:30 am.
