Attics and Treasures Experience (12 Jan - 6 Feb 2022)

Home to some off-display textiles, the attics are a treasure trove for historical enthusiasts. The attics themselves have a story to tell from creation and history, which not many get to hear.

Many of the attic's textiles have links to some of the five treasures of Hardwick. Five remarkable objects which highlight Bess of Hardwick’s impeccable taste, can be seen in our ground floor display. This special tour gives you chance to see and hear more about these astonishing objects.

Please Note:

• Meet at the main entrance to the Hall.
• With steep steps and uneven flooring at times please wear sensible footwear, with no open toes.
• Not accessible for wheelchair users. If you've a heart complaint, breathing difficulties, phobia for small spaces, a medical condition that affects physical activity the experience isn't suitable.
