About this Event
Atossa Araxia Abrahamian's new book, "The Hidden Globe: How Wealth Hacks the World" is described as "sharly observed", "fascinating", and "sharp-eyed" by critics who note that it "eloquently verifies a long-inarticulare suspicion: that our world has been invisibly remade." This fascinating, infuriating, and galvanizing new book takes readers on a geopolitical tour of the places (and non-places) that challenge our ideas about where and what a country is and whom it serves.
Join us at 6:00pm on Thursday, November 21st, when Symposium Books will be hosting Atossa to speak on her riveting and important work. We are also excited to welcome Daniel Denvir, author of "All-American Nativism: How the Bipartisan War on Immigrants Explains Politics as We Know It." Join us as they engage in a discussion and Q+A; signed books will be available.
For the work that has culminated in "THE HIDDEN GLOBE: How Wealth Hacks The World," Abrahamian has been named a New America National fellow, a Knight Wallace fellow at the University of Michigan, and a finalist for a Livingston Award, and has been a recipient of a Whiting Nonfiction Grant and a Silvers Award for Works in Progress.
