About this Event
Diné artist Shayla Blatchford, a featured artist in the A Thousand Beautiful Lies exhibition, will be offering a rare opportunity to engage with her work, The Anti-Uranium Mapping Project, through an artist talk. This will be followed by a presentation of groundbreaking research on the health effects of uranium mining and milling on the Navajo Nation by Dr. Phillida A. Charley (Diné). A community conversation will follow, providing a unique chance to interact with these esteemed individuals.
We extend a warm welcome to people from all walks of life to attend the event. This is a space for learning, sharing, and empowerment.
Free and open to the public.
