Accomplished artist Cathy Jones will share her passion for watercolors in this wonderfully practical workshop on learning to paint atmospheric watercolors. Known for her exciting techniques and love of color, Cathy will take you on an inspirational painting journey on which you will encounter, amongst other things, magical watercolor flow, mixing paint on paper to create glorious washes, sunbursts of color, and how to make your final painting glow. With her simple exercises, clear advice, and easy-to-follow projects, Cathy pushes the boundaries and will alter the way you think about watercolors and painting forever. We will start out with a “warm-up” exercise and then do a “step by step” painting that everyone will be able to do, whatever their artistic ability. This workshop is perfect for all levels of painters even if you have never picked up a paintbrush or worked with watercolor.
