Atelier Le regard incarné - Embodied Seeing Workshop

(English bellow)

Do you find that your body has a mind of its own?
Unconscious posture, movement, and breathing habits can make you feel uncomfortable, tense, fatigued, or even emotionally reactive, whether you are engaged in a creative project, at work, or interacting with others. You may become totally unaware of your body when engaged with the external world, but this doesn’t have to be the case. In fact, being embodied can enrich your experiences.
This workshop will use the works of art in the gallery and simple exercises to bring more into contact with your internal experience while you engage with the external world, inviting more into a state of flow and to bring your awareness to physical habits that may not be serving you.
Lindsay will take you through simple (non-strenuous) body awareness exercises, both seated and standing. Then you'll apply what you've learned during a guided walking tour of the gallery. The workshop will include both internal reflections and exchange of observations. Lindsay Newitter will guide you verbally and with her hands for those who opt in for hands-on cuing.
Expect to leave feeling more present, relaxed, and out of your head, with your creative juices flowing.
For artists, professionals, or anyone who is curious!
