At The Museum - Step Out Into Greektown Family Friendly Interactive Tour

Join us Friday, December 26 from 2:00 PM- 3:00 PM for a family friendly, interactive Step Out Into Greektown Tour where you can discover the cultural heritage and historic charm of Chicago's Greektown on this unique tour. From iconic architecture to community landmarks, this tour offers a unique glimpse into the city's vibrant Greek American legacy and includes both a guided tour of our permanent exhibit “Reaching for the American Dream: The Greek Story in America” and a glimpse at key sites in the area around the Museum.

The National Hellenic Museum, located in the heart of Chicago’s Greektown, captures the story of the Greek diaspora to the United States, but this tour emphasizes the special history of Greeks in Chicago. From iconic architecture to community landmarks, this tour offers a unique glimpse into the city's vibrant Greek American legacy and includes both a guided tour of our permanent exhibit “Reaching for the American Dream: The Greek Story in America” and a glimpse at key sites in the area around the Museum.

This tour will include a short walking segment where we will explore some of Halsted Street, contingent on weather.
