We’re thrilled to welcome Nico Fox back to Gallery Particulier for the launch of her new book, At Least the Ocean Will Stay.
Supporting local talent is one aspect of our mission, and Nico is someone our community already knows and loves. She has previously performed at the gallery and at the Parkline, and we’ve watched her voice grow with clarity, confidence, and emotional range. She is a remarkable young creative whose work carries both sensitivity and strength.
At Least the Ocean Will Stay is a collection of poems and short prose exploring love, loss, memory, and the routines that carry people forward. Water appears throughout the book as image and presence, linking personal experience to wider emotional and social landscapes. The work moves between seriousness and humor, tracing how intimacy changes over time and how ordinary moments hold meaning.
Nico Fox is a writer and musician based in Brooklyn. Her work bridges poetry and short prose, examining intimacy and the emotional currents that shape contemporary life. She is the author of At Least the Ocean Will Stay (2026) and The Art of Transmutation (2021). In addition to her writing, she makes music under the name Real Clothes, with releases including Queen of Daisies EP, Object-Oriented, Modulation, Apotheosis, and Precaution. Her work explores vulnerability and the ways art can hold both tension and tenderness.
Please join us for an evening celebrating Nico’s writing, her continued evolution as an artist, and the power of community in celebrating local voices. We will take in her words while enjoying the beautiful art of Elliot Johnson in his solo exhibit, Open Your Mind: A Visual Mixtape.
