ASYLUM BOOK CLUB, VOL 1 ALL AGES / FREE!

Giovanni’s Room by James Baldwin

Join us for an intimate evening of queer literature andconversation as we read James Baldwin’s Giovanni’sRoom, a groundbreaking novel about identity, love, shame, and exile. Whether it’s your first time reading itor your tenth, come as you are. No academic pressure or pretension. This is the first iteration of a new seriesat Asylum, hosted by @mommychondriac . The café will be open with tea and coffee. All are welcome, especially queer folks, BIPOC readers, and anyone looking for a soft place to land.
