What are the prospects of people actually living on Mars? How do astronomers use high-altitude balloons to put telescopes nearly into space? Join us Monday, September 15th at 7:30PM as we discuss these topics and more at our next Astronomy on Tap. Notably, this event will feature NASA JPL Chief Engineer of the Mars Sample Return program, Dr. Adam Steltzner. We'll host two ~20 minute talks, Q&A, and then follow it up with interactive, astronomical pub trivia, live music by Jason Achilles, and guided stargazing with telescopes!Astronomy on Tap is a worldwide phenomenon where scientists take over local bars to discuss their research in 20-minute informal talks over beers. We host events at an outdoor space at the Dog Haus Biergarten in Old Town Pasadena. Event is totally free and open to all (including minors), no reservations necessary.
