Calling all wanna-be astronauts, stargazers, and astronomy lovers of all ages for this year’s Astronomy Day at LASM, which celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium! Engage in out-of-this-world hands-on activities, view astronomy shows in the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium, and check out a display of an authentic lunar sample in LASM’s collection with a NASA Solar System Ambassador. A portion of Astronomy Day’s proceeds will directly benefit LASM’s campaign to “Light LASM: The Star of BR” to light the historic museum’s exterior in honor of the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium’s 20th anniversary.
The ticket price of $12 for adults and $10 for children includes all of the event’s activities and unlimited planetarium shows. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time at tinyurl.com/AstronomyDay2023.
