This will be an evening filled with laughter, exploration, and good vibes under the stars. Here's what's in store:
🍸 Happy Cosmo Hour: Starting at 7PM, dive into the fun with our Cocktail Hour in the Exhibit Hall. Sip on delicious drinks, indulge in tasty Dope Tacos, and groove to some beats.
Explore the exhibits and unleash your inner child as you rediscover the wonders of science.
🎤 Comedy Show: At 8PM, head over to the planetarium for the main event! Sit back, relax, and get ready to laugh your way through the cosmos.
🌟 Our Comedy Stars:
Our host, Juan Denmark is an energetically personable comedian out of Portland, Oregon. Originally from the east coast, Juan has been featured on Don’t Tell Comedy, as well as open up for the likes of Slink Johnson, Afroman, and featured for PNW Favorite Sam Miller. Juan was featured on the Nationally Recognized North West Black Comedy Festival 3 times and continues to travel in pursuit of his comedy passion. Military Veteran as well as aspiring Psychologist, Juan uses his many life experiences to deliver a personal perspective to the scene of Comedy.
If you’ve attended our event before, you may recognize our feature and founder Lexis Shardé. She’s performed at various clubs in Los Angeles and Phoenix, including Don’t Tell Comedy. Lexis has been featured in Portland Comedy Festival, Cactus Comedy Classic, Palms Springs International Festival and Burbank Comedy Festival. After 12 years away from home, Lexis has returned like the prodigal child to spread laughter amongst the community in her hometown.
Headliner, Brandon Broady has toured with Donnell Rawlings and King Bach, appeared on "We Got Next", numerous BET shows including 106 and Park, and Produced the first season of Tru TV's "Laff Tracks". Broady can be most recognized for hosting "Crashletes" on Nickelodeon, and is a cast member on All Def Digital, known best for his quick wits on "Roast Me".
🎟️ After October 1st, General Admission Tickets are $40. Each ticket includes one drink and two tacos.
VIP Packages are $80. Each VIP package includes two drinks, two tacos, premium seating, meet & greet after the show, plus a photo souvenir.
Alcoholic beverages will be available with valid ID.
This event is ADA accessible.
Proceeds go towards our 501c3 Lexy's Playground, an afterschool program for youth to learn improv, beginning this fall.
