Join the Greater San Jose ASSP chapter as we celebrate the new chapter year with an exciting evening of recognition and learning! The event kicks off with the chapter awards and scholarship ceremony, honoring outstanding achievements.
Following the awards, enjoy a technical presentation on Cal-OSHA Indoor Vs Outdoor Heat Illness Prevention, originally presented at the ASSP Safety 2026 PDC in Anaheim. This will be presented by Jay Jamali, CSP, CHMM.

Overview:
Cal-OSHA regulation on indoor Heat Illness Prevention (HIP) went into effect in
2025. This presentation will update the requirements of indoor vs outdoor HIP
regulations.
Learning Objectives:
- Know the requirements of Cal-OSHA for indoor and outdoor HIP.
- Update their written HIP program accordingly.
- Update their HIP training accordingly.
- Become familiar with the latest monitoring, hydration, and cooling technology.
Presnter Bio:
Jay Jamali has a bachelors degree in Occupational Safety and Health with over
40 years of experience in manufacturing and consulting. Jay is a Certified Safety
Professional (CSP) and has presented at ASSP conferences for over 25 years.
He has developed written HIP programs, provided HIP training, and audited HIP
programs.
Continueing Education Units (CEU's):
- 0.1 CEU's will be awarded to attendees that attend this talk in person.
