As the old saying goes, "It never hurts to ask" -- but there is a technique to it all.
About this Event

A person’s ability to assert their needs is directly related to happiness and success at work and at home. People avoid assertion for a range of reasons. Mostly based on fear (how will they react? what if it goes wrong? will I get resistance?) Asking for what you need doesn’t need to be scary though. In fact, it is very simple once you learn the tricks and tools of assertion. This interactive workshop will give you the tools and techniques you need to make assertion an effective tool for your toolbox.

In this interactive enjoyable in-person workshop, participants will:

• Build confidence in your assertion ability

• Learn how to frame your request so it is likely to be heard and encourage responsiveness

• Build tools and techniques for asking people for a change in behaviour without causing defensiveness.
