Assemble Care Packets for Unhoused Community Members

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Kids + Family Volunteers  will work together to assemble care packages for The City of Tucson Housing First Program that contain essential items such as non-perishable food, water, hygiene products, and other necessities to support individuals who are unhoused. Kid Volunteers will also make kind notes to include in care packages.

WHY IS THIS WORK IMPORTANT:

This hands-on volunteer work will benefit The City of Tucson Housing First Program.

The City of Tucson Housing First Program provides a comprehensive array of engagement, shelter, and housing services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in the Tucson area. Specific services include homeless protocol, street outreach, mobile shower, emergency shelter, housing navigation, and permanent supportive housing programs.

KIND NOTES:

This in an in-person, indoor event.

• All supplies will be provided.
• A takeaway snack will be provided for the Kid Volunteers at the completion of the project.

WHY YOU'LL BE ASKED TO PAY A FAMILY REGISTRATION FEE:

Our small family registration fee enables Tucson Family Volunteers, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to offset volunteer costs for this event. We do the planning, coordinating + buying of supplies (and snacks!) for all volunteer projects so that your family can just sign up, volunteer + have fun!

If you have to cancel your registration later, please know that your fee will go toward our efforts to create more give-back kindness projects for our kids, families + non-profit partners.
