The Aspen Chapel is reviving a long-standing tradition – Blessing of the Animals. Nicholas Vesey and Gregg Anderson will host “pet church,” a special service for animals of all sizes on Sunday, October 3rd at 11.am, in the Chapel Garden.
Friends of the Animal Shelter are bringing some animals who need adopting and there will be refreshments for 2 and 4 legged attendees!
The Chapel has a history of doing pet blessings; in the past they have blessed dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and even Black Angus Cattle. We are working with local animal rescue organizations and ambassadors to help spread the word. We want this to be inclusive for all animal lovers.
Every animal will get a certificate of blessing and no one is too big or small to attend! The service is open to the public and we are in search of a small group of supporters to sponsor the event.
