Overview and Best Practices for All-Electric Domestic Hot Water Systems
By Brian Croshal, PAE
About this Event

Electrification has been quite the buzz word in the building industry lately (especially in California) and as designers and manufacturers of plumbing systems, we can have a direct impact on achieving our clients all-electric goals whether they're driven by local codes, sustainability, or resiliency.

While electric water heaters have been around for years, there are a few newer technologies and important considerations that can improve the final installation and user experience.

Topics will include an overview of the various equipment and technologies, examples of common applications, and tips and guidance for design and specification of systems. We will cover small point of use tankless options all the way up to larger built-up heat pump systems.

Attendees will walk away feeling more informed on the various options available and with a head start in designing systems to avoid headaches in the field (during construction) or at the fixture (when the fixture is actually flowing).
