Ask Carol, the alternative indie-rock duo from the remote Norwegian mountain community of Auma, defies their small size with a huge and powerful sound – featuring two guitars, drums, synth, and Carol's innovative bass and guitar system. Their music ranges from fierce to gentle, drawing inspiration from bands like the Kills, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and the White Stripes, with a distinct Nordic, melancholic twist. They've toured internationally, supported The Brian Jonestown Massacre, played at SXSW several times, and received critical acclaim for their debut album released on their indie label, ChoVan Records. Despite pandemic challenges, they've harnessed solitude to create a dark, introspective atmosphere in their music.
