The event is a key part of World Alzheimer's Month, a global campaign run by Alzheimer's Disease International (ADI) every September to raise awareness and challenge the stigma surrounding dementia.
The afternoon will be a chance to meet face-to-face with local support services , enjoy free light refreshments, and amplify the voices of people affected by dementia in a fully accessible and welcoming space.
With an estimated 1,887 people living with dementia in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, Ask About Dementia is a vital step toward building a more understanding and supportive community for everyone.
Ask About Dementia is held in collaboration with Dementia Inclusive Greenwich, Greenwich Carers Centre, and South East London Mind. It is very kindly hosted by Royal Museums Greenwich.
