Asian Women's Writing Workshop: The Path to Publication

Books are an age-old medium to share stories, new ideas, and expand our perspectives. However, only 5% of published authors in the US identify as Asian, thus limiting the amount of stories, ideas, and perspectives heard from Asian voices.
AZN AMERICANA and debut novelist, Kat Tang, are joining forces to amplify more Asian women & femme voices in the publishing industry. Join us for a special night where Kat will share her journey getting her first novel, Five Star Stranger, published by Simon & Schuster + guide an interactive workshop to help Asian women writers in their own journeys, too.

is a former lawyer turned fiction writer with an MFA in creative writing from Columbia University. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, Electric Literature, The Margins, and Pigeon Pages among others. Her debut novel, FIVE-STAR STRANGER, is out with Scribner (imprint of Simon & Schuster) now. She is hard at work on a second novel.
