Asian Festival on Main!

(OTFBA) partners with local business owners and the City of Fairfax to bring you the inaugural 2021 (AFM)! This special event was created to bring the community together and celebrate our cultural diversity through food, arts & craft, entertainment and education.

• Up to 20 different local Asian food vendors and food trucks will be there, so you can experience diverse, flavorful food and drinks from Asia.
• A full day of , enjoyable for all ages with a program which celebrates many Asian cultures.
• Games and interactive area for those wishing to learn origami, how to do a kick-flip on a skateboard, improve your yo-yo skills, and more.
• Exhibits to learn about the special contributions of Americans of Asian descent, and the journey of history through places.
• Live muralist, Henley, who wows us with his talent and art!

This is a free outdoor family event on Main Street located in Historic Old Town Fairfax City. Other than delicious Asian foods, alcoholic beverages are available for 21+ to enjoy all day as well. Join us in celebrating our community, support local businesses, and enjoy the summer fun!

We hope you stay for the festival in its entirety but to better plan out your day; our festival will be divided into two sessions, Session A and Session B.

Session A (12:00 PM to 4:30 PM):

This session features educational and fun engaging performances to enjoy with the family such as lion dances, Chinese Yoyo, martial arts demonstration, and a dog costume show! Fun and exciting carnival games will be available during this session. A muralist will be live painting starting at noon!

Session B (4:30PM to 9:00 PM):

This session features a Muay Thai boxing demonstration, Hawaiian dancing, Bollywood dancing, and we will finish up the day with a Filipino hip-hop show!

Location: Old Town Fairfax City, on Main Street (Between Chain Bridge Rd. and University Drive).

Main street will be closed to vehicles during that time.

Asian Festival on Main (AFM) is organized by the Old Town Fairfax Business Association (OTFBA), a 501(c)6 corporation, with planning managed by business leaders seated on the event planning committee.

The City of Fairfax is a cosponsor of this inaugural event.

The Old Town Fairfax Business Association (OTFBA) is a 501(c)6 corporation and organizer of the Asian Festival on Main. Our business members were inspired to host this event in celebration of our diverse business owners, community, and leaders.

The City of Fairfax Parks and Recreation Event Management has been instrumental in coordinating the highest level of services for the event logistics, offering event equipment, and providing staff oversight necessary for a successful Asian Festival on Main.
