Celebrate the cultural exploration of Asian/Pacific Americans. The month of May has been designated for Americans to celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month by appreciating the community's history, heritage, and contributions of the ancestors of American citizens who came from all the Asian continent and the Pacific islands of Melanesia Micronesia and Polynesia.
Come celebrate at the MLK Jr. Rec Center as we host our 4th annual Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month event. 2024 will feature a fashion show highlighting traditional clothing and the history behind them.
