Peek behind the studio door and see what’s inspiring our artists right now. From playlists to performances, exhibitions, books and internet deep dives, Asia TOPA Radar brings together artists from across the Asia-Pacific for an evening of creativity, community and good times.Next month’s event features three leading artists and collectives:
Queer Indigenous collective FAFSWAG (Aotearoa), an iconic ensemble with a shapeshifting practice that bends genres and artforms.
Melbourne artists Mindy Meng Wang & Monica Lim, a duo who share Chinese heritage and experiment across contemporary and traditional music and sound.
Dance artist and producer Efren Pamilacan whose practice traverses cultural and social spheres including hip-hop culture, underground dance culture and contemporary art.
Come along for the artist sharing before the event turns into a party with tunes by DJ Aqueerius. This edition of Asia TOPA Radar is specially curated to coincide with FAFSWAG’s exhibition Alteration, which will be on display during the event, presented as part of PHOTO 2024.
