We are extremely happy to welcome our dear friend and internationally acclaimed Yoga Therapist Bryce Delbridge back to Om Shala!
Through a dedicated and innovative practice of Ashtanga Yoga & Yoga Therapy, Bryce Delbridge (500 E-RYT, YACEP, C-IAYT) was able to overcome a severe case of adolescent scoliosis, avoid a total spinal fusion, and finally become pain free. Through this experience, Bryce has developed a unique insight into the use of Vinyasa Yoga as a deep healing modality. This weekend will interweave asana; full body & hand mudra; pranayama; chakra, vayu & kosha awareness; prana vidya & visualizations; self massage; muscle isolations; somatics; deep relaxation & yoga nidra. Bryce can assist in safely and effectively addressing injuries while taking your practice to the next level. No Ashtanga or Yoga experience is necessary. Beginners, as well as individuals suffering from pain or repetitive use injuries, are are highly encouraged.
Bryce is masterful at helping you to pinpoint the sources of your imbalances, aches and pains, and injuries, providing the tools you need to correct them in your practice. He has helped thousands of people around the world become pain-free with his expertise. Workshop Schedule:
Friday Oct. 7, 6-8pm: Therapeutic Fundamentals
Covering the basic theory, movements & practices to set yourself up for a sustainable life long yoga practice. Here, we will cover the necessary practices to undue the negative side effects of all strengthening routines including yoga asana, running, swimming, rock climbing, weight lifting, cycling etc. All levels & All health conditions are encouraged to attend. (duration: 2 hours)
Saturday Oct. 8 Morning Session, 8-10am: Led Ashtanga Practice
Some experience with Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is recommended, though not required for this class. There will be modifications to initiate newcomers and variations for experienced practitioners to elaborate & better prepare for more advanced sequences. This class is mostly about forward bends & hip openers, along with strengthening the nervous system through consistent Ujjayi breathing. This breathing, along with the repetitive vinyasa's, builds a unique level of endurance for the yoga practitioner & a deep state of moving meditation.
Saturday Afternoon Session, 2-4pm: Injury Clinic & Customizing Asana:
We will take time to cover practices to get out of pain, reverse current injuries, prevent future injuries & workshop on specific asanas requested by each attendee. Bring your notebook, past injuries & inquiries, this is going to be an incredible mind-blowing experience.

Sunday Oct. 9 Morning Session, 8-10am- Mysore Practice
All Levels self practice; moving and breathing at your own pace; this is where the rubber meets the road. In here, there is no right or wrong sequence; complete & total open format; all traditions are welcome. From the super advanced to the total beginner, Bryce will be working individually to help you work through any obstacle in your practice; physical, postural, breath/energy, emotional, spiritual etc; he will be here to help you create a customized practice for your needs. This is as close as it gets to having a private class in a group setting. Within this context Bryce can do postural assessments to help you understand your own rotational pattern in your feet, knees, hips, rib cage, shoulders & spine; and give you a customized therapeutic sequence to create more balance & prevent your pattern from becoming more accentuated.
Sunday Afternoon Session, 2-4pm: Pranayama & Yoga Nidra
In this practice we will go over the foundational practices for establishing rhythmic fixed ratio breathing & alternate nostril breathing, as a means to facilitate deep relaxation & transition smoothly into guided meditation.
