About this Event
Topic Summary:
We will explore the efficiency of high-induction diffusers through both experimental and numerical approaches, showcasing their superior energy performance and ventilation effectiveness compared to traditional methods. By benchmarking five different RANS models, we identified the most accurate turbulence model for evaluating comfort parameters, leading to up to an 18.4% reduction in airflow requirements and energy consumption.
The presentation will also cover how different perforations design can enhance airborne infection control, achieving up to a 30% reduction in the residence time of infectious particles. Our design approach aligns with ASHRAE standards, including ASHRAE 55 and 62.1, ensuring high induction solutions with optimized Ez values for indoor air quality and comfort.
This presentation will offer a comprehensive analysis of how innovative diffuser designs and adherence to industry standards can improve both ventilation performance and energy efficiency.
