Ash Wednesday is a special service each year to encourage fearless living by faith in Christ.
Wednesday February 22nd.
Details:
• Bring a dish to pass for potluck meal. Theme is Soup & Sandwich.
• Meal at 6p, worship with ashes & communion @ 645p, complete @ 730p
• Pastor will be garbed in black to remind us of our sinfulness and need for a Savior.
• Ashes will be distributed in the European method of sprinkling dried Palm Sunday branches on your head in the shape of a cross.
• Ashes are optional. Children can come forward at parent's discretion.
• Ashes picture repentance (Job 42:6) and mortality (Genesis 18:27).
