Blessed ashes, a reminder of our physical mortality and of our willingness to do penance for our sins, will be imposed on the foreheads of the faithful following the Homily at each of the masses (11am & 7pm). Although Ash Wednesday is NOT a day obligatory mass attendance it is a day of fasting and abstinence.
