Ash Wednesday invites us to pause, breathe, and begin again. On this sacred day, you are warmly invited to reflect, reconnect, and renew your spirit as we enter the season of Lent together. Wherever you are on your journey, there is space for you here.
Whether you come for quiet meditation, receive ashes in the heart of the community, or gather for evening worship, this holy day offers multiple ways to mark the beginning of Lent with intention and hope. Come as you are.
Imposition of Ashes (English & Spanish)
The Interfaith Peace Chapel will be open from 11:45am–1:00pm for personal prayer, meditation, and the imposition of ashes. Step into this sacred space at your own pace, with clergy available to offer guidance and support.
Ashes on the Strip
Meet us where life is happening. From 5pm–6pm, join us at the corner of Cedar Springs & Throckmorton for Ashes on the Strip. Receive ashes as a visible reminder of grace that goes with you wherever the day leads.
Ash Wednesday Worship Service
Gather with the community at 7:15pm in the Cathedral of Hope Sanctuary for a meaningful and contemplative Ash Wednesday worship service. Together, we’ll name our hopes, release what weighs heavy, and step into Lent with openness and trust.
Walk the Labyrinth
Throughout the day, the labyrinth in the Interfaith Peace Chapel will be available for walking prayer and reflection. An invitation into stillness, peace, and gentle listening.
