Ash Wednesday at the Cathedral: A Holy Beginning

Join us on February 18, 2026, as we enter the season of Lent with prayer, reflection, and the imposition of ashes.

The Book of Common Prayer invites us to observe a holy Lent through self-examination, prayer, and deep reflection on God’s Word. Whether you are looking for a quiet morning of contemplation, a bilingual community service, or a brief moment of grace during your lunch break, the Cathedral welcomes you exactly as you are.

Together, we mark our mortal nature and make a right beginning toward repentance, remembering that out of dust we were created and to dust we shall return.

We offer three distinct service times to accommodate your schedule:

• 7:00 a.m. – Holy Eucharist & Imposition of Ashes
• 12:05 p.m. – Holy Eucharist & Imposition of Ashes
• 7:00 p.m. – Bilingual Service / Servicio Bilingüe (English/Spanish)

10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Can’t make it to a full service? We understand that life is busy. A priest will be available in the Cloister for "Walk-up Ashes." Stop by during your midday break for a brief prayer and the imposition of ashes.
