The Feast of the Ascension is considered one of the five major feasts of the church year; however, owing partly to its not falling on a Sunday, it has been increasingly overlooked through the centuries. St. Andrew's has honored this important feast for many years by marking it at Evensong and often solemnifying the occasion by concluding the service with a celebration of the Eucharist. Ascension this year is Thursday, May 9, and Evensong with Eucharist will take place in the church at 5:45 p.m. (and will also be live-streamed).
