Well it wasn't the plan to start booking standalone shows, but I couldn't turn this one down.
To hold you over until Monochrome II (yup; follow for more on that https://www.instagram.com/monochromebristol), we've got a night of the ugliest Death Metal; an absolutely rancid lineup that rises from the grave on bloodied stumps, outstretches a withered finger and demands you not whine about it being a Tuesday.
ASCENDED DEAD
San Diego's Ascended Dead play Death Metal the ancient way; with an intrinsically malign pedigree and methodical cruelty scarcely heard nowadays. Flesh-peeling intensity at warp-speed, technically-frenzied leads that cut straight through bone and a relentless annihilating force that rarely ceases long enough to take a breath.

SLIMELORD
Formed in Leeds in 2019, slimelord absolutely sit alongside the likes of Tomb Mold and Worm in the pantheon of modern death metal. With squealing guitars, extreme dissonance and lavish technicality, they sound like Gorguts playing Death Doom.

CRYPTWORM
Bristol's own Cryptworm have been crawling in and out of mortuaries for a decade, with their bouncy, riffy, groove laden, Death Metal. One of the busiest and best sets of the weekend during the recent (and excellent) Necropolis festival. Not to be missed.

HELLISH TORMENT
Drunk with power and arising from concrete tombs, triumphant in death and tyrannical in decontrol, strides forth London metal punks Hellish Torment. Championing a bare bone, no nonsense, primordial black crust, Hellish Torment suffer no gods, nor masters—creating a truly violent sonic battering ram that breaks right out the seven gates of hell and onward toward the gilded deceptions of the heavens themselves.
