Asbury's VBS 2022 - Food Truck Party!

We have a fun, friendly, and faith-based week planned for our VBS adventurers! We're celebrating God with a Food Truck Party!

We will have music, dancing, singing, cool crafts, fun games, inspiring Bible stories, and of course, FOOD! You won't want to miss this awesome experience!

Pre-K 3, Pre-K 4, & Entering Kindergarten

We will have separate Pre-K classes this year with activities designed just for them. Our Pre-K groups will have so much fun making crafts, singing songs, hearing our story of the day, and more. Please indicate if your child is NOT potty trained when completing the registration form. This will help our staff and volunteers when working with the children. Children must be 3 years old when VBS begins.

Completed Kindergarten - Completed 4th Grade

These groups will rotate through a variety of stations and activities as they learn more and grow closer to God. Our daily Bible stories teach kids about how Jesus lived, and how we can live more like Jesus.

Completed 5th Grade - 12th Grade

We need your help leading our groups and getting ready for VBS. There are so many different and fun ways that you can help, and because you are a helper, you do not have a fee.

• Be an Assistant Crew Leader (rotate to different stations with a crew)
• Be an Assembly Leader (skits, songs, and intro lesson on the stage)
• Be on the design crew (help us create decorations and decorate for VBS)
• Be an Assistant Station Leader (help our Station Leaders with activities)

6th Grade Confirmation Retreat

If you have completed 6th grade or you missed confirmation during a previous year, and you would like to learn about what it means to be part of the Methodist Church, then we have a fun week that you won't want to miss. This is the complete confirmation course bundled into one awesome week. Last year we even had a surprise visit from Bishop Harvey! We will confirm the confirmands who attend this retreat on Sunday, July 17, 2022.

Confirmation Details

We will have a table located in the same location as VBS for check-in and check-out. The retreat sessions will be Monday - Friday, 8:45 a.m. - noon. 8:00 a.m. early drop-off will be available. Confirmands will meet in the upstairs youth room connected to the Spiritwind Building.

Each day, our program will begin at 8:45 a.m. in our Spiritwind Building, and we will end our closing assembly at noon in the same location. Parents are welcome to watch the closing assembly each day.

The cost for VBS is $25 which includes a VBS-themed t-shirt. Participants who register before June 10th will receive a custom VBS Food Truck Party shirt.

Check-in/Check-out

Adults will need to sign their children in at the registration/check-in table each morning. This will be located under the Spiritwind Welcome Center Patio. Adults will also need to sign their child/children out at the same table before leaving. Make sure you get your check-in/check-out keyring tag on your first day of check-in. This is how we will identify the adults allowed to check out your child. We ask that children be picked up no later than 12:15.

We are bringing back Early Drop-off this year! We will open our doors at 8:00 am. Children will be able to play in our large enclosed playground on weather permitting days.

Food Allergies/Medical Conditions

We will have snack time each day. Please indicate any food allergies or medical conditions on the registration form. These children will receive a wristband each morning at check-in. This will help all of our volunteers identify special needs quickly. Alternative snacks will also be provided.

Asbury Day School Students (Summer Session)

We are so excited to be a part of your summer school program! To make it a seamless transition, our ADS teachers will have a Stay & Play option for you from noon -2:00 pm. Make sure you select that option when completing the registration form.

It takes a lot of people to make this wonderful week a success, and we can use your help. If you would like to volunteer to help with any part of VBS, even if it's only for one day or part of the week, we would love your help.
