"36 years ago, the music of Arvo Part changed my life".Sound and silence, stillness and motion are woven together in the music of Arvo Pärt. When pianist Chris Long first heard Pärt's music, as an undergrad music student in 1989, it changed the course of his life. In this concert he brings a deeply personal and eloquent perspective to a range of piano music that spans the career of one of the finest composers of our time.
In celebration of the Estonian composer’s 90th birthday in 2025 and beyond, Chris offers this concert in which each piece tells a story, evoking emotions that resonate universally, making this not just a musical experience but a profound journey for the soul.

Sonatina no.1, op 1
Summa
Fratres (arranged for solo piano by CL)
Variations for the Healing of Arinushka
