Next month, we take you on a trip into the world of Jungle, bringing back the ragga sounds of the 90s with a legend in the game!
Blackmarket started DJing in the 80's when he was 14, initially playing Electro before moving on to play all different types of dance music in house parties and on various pirate radio stations, eventually becoming a trailblazing and pivotal figure in the birth and development of Jungle! 🌴
Nicky was famous for being part-owner of independent dance music record store Blackmarket Records in London in the early 90s, creating a department within the store for the breakbeat scene, which would then evolve into drum and bass! 🎧
To say Nicky Blackmarket is a big player in the Jungle scene is an understatement. Nicky was and still is a true pioneer of the scene & genre, and continues to smash parties across the UK and world, flying the flag for Jungle and DnB, as one of the true old skool dons of the scene!
Joining him on the night, we have Goosensei, Tom Fire & Vex on the turntables, bringing a mixture of dub, jungle & dnb in support! 🔥
