Artspace First Fridays

First Friday is celebrated on the first Friday of each month throughout Downtown Raleigh to showcase the best of our city’s creative community. One of the founding organizations behind First Friday, Artspace opens its doors from 6-10pm every First Friday.

First Friday is always free and open to everyone!

February’s First Friday will feature:

• exhibition with work by Renzo Ortega in Gallery 1
• exhibition with work by North Carolina artists and poets in Gallery 2
• Shape Language exhibition with work by Maria Frati
• Boys & Girls Club art exhibition in the People’s Studio
• Meet and shop with our 30+ studio artists (including our 3 new 2025 Artists in Residence!)
• Paintings + Poems art making activity, 6-9pm
• Poetry reading in Gallery 2, 7-9pm
• Sounds by Gemynii, 7-10pm
• Take our 2025 Community Survey and enjoy a free treat

Parking and Accessibility //

Free street parking is available on Davie Street. Metered parking is available on adjacent streets. There are also several pay lots/decks nearby: City Market parking lot, Blount Street parking deck, and several Secure P lots for night + weekend parking (314 E Davie St, 415 S Person St, 417 S Person St).
