Join the Public Art Futures Lab for a tour of the Creative Media Industries Institute at Georgia State University in Downtown Atlanta.
The Public Art Futures Lab invites you to join the next installment of our Arts + Tech Ecosystems Tour series. It's an ongoing exploration of the creative, research, and innovation spaces shaping Fulton County and beyond.
This tour will take us to the Creative Media Industries Institute (CMII) at Georgia State University, a Knowledge Partner located right here in our Downtown neighborhood training Undergrad and Grad students.
Why Creative Media Industries Institute (CMII)?
CMII is known for work in:
- Immersive storytelling (VR / AR / XR)
- AI and computational media
- Focus on media entrepreneurship and production
- Video Game Design and Development
This tour is especially relevant for those seeking student collaborators whose skillsets may include coding, XR development, UX/UI, production support, documentation, and research analysis.
About The Arts + Tech Ecoystems Series:
The Arts + Tech Ecosystem tours began as a dedicated program for selected Public Art Futures Lab artists-in-residence - designed to introduce them to the tools, institutions, and people shaping creative technology in Atlanta. Over time, these visits sparked meaningful conversations, collaborations, and long-term relationships, revealing the value of opening these experiences to a broader audience. Now offered to the public, the tours function like expanded studio visits; providing behind-the-scenes access to industry partners, academic institutions, and nonprofits that support and advance the arts + technology ecosystem in Fulton County and the greater Atlanta area.
