The Arts in Black exhibit is a special collaboration with the Arts in Black Festival, the longest-running festival in Tifton, now celebrating its 40th anniversary. This milestone year honors decades of culture, creativity, and community rooted in Tifton’s rich history.
As part of the celebration, we have invited local Black artists to share their work, creating a vibrant showcase that reflects the depth and diversity of Black artistic expression in our community. The exhibit also features select works from the Georgia State Art Collection, further enriching the experience with pieces that connect local narratives to the broader story of Georgia’s artistic legacy.
Together, these works serve as both a tribute to Tifton’s Black heritage and a platform for contemporary voices, highlighting the stories, traditions, and talents that continue to shape the city’s cultural landscape.
