In recognition of National Arab American Heritage Month, we have partnered with oud and qanun player Victor Ghannam. During this program in the Museum Plaza, Ghannam will speak about his personal journey, culture and Arab music as well as perform pieces on his oud and qanun instruments, with an audience Q&A to follow. Ghannam is a self-taught musician, founding member of the National Arab Orchestra and regular Hollywood production musician. Among his notable credits are “Hercules”, “Xena: Warrior Princess” and Starz' “Spartacus”.
The oud and qanun are stringed instruments that complement our collection of personal violins on permanent display at the museum.
This performance is included with membership or museum admission.
