ArtPark Al Fresco Family Nights: Felted Geodes
Schedule
Tue Jul 12 2022 at 06:00 pm to 08:00 pm
Location
RiNo Art Park | Denver, CO
About this Event
With a little soapy water and wool roving we’ll be creating our own soft rocks which have gorgeous layers when cut in half. Danielle Olinger, the outreach coordinator for School of Mines Museum of Earth Science, will be on hand to tell us how geodes are formed, where to find them and other cool facts about rocks and minerals.
This July and August we'll be getting outside to make a host of unconventional and totally cool interactive objects together, from building art cars to making needlepoint graffiti. Workshops are free with all supplies included, but you will need to pre-register. Kids, teens and their adult friends are all encouraged to participate with individual and group projects. Pets welcome, and snacks and drinks will be available if you don't want to bring your own!
