THE LIVING STREAM
ArtNet invites you to join us for a series of poetry workshops in which poet Nessa O’Mahony explores the relationship between the writer and their local waterway as a source of inspiration, consolation and recuperation. The workshops will be made up of six sessions, over 8 weeks, starting on Monday 21st September and finishing on November 9th and will consist of a combination of writing exercises, reading and discussion.
Nessa O’Mahony was born in Dublin. She has published sixbooks of poetry – Bar Talk, (1999), Trapping a Ghost (2005), In Sight of Home (2009), Her Father’s Daughter (2014) and The Hollow Woman on the Island (2019) and Dodder Daughter, which was published in April 2026. She has edited journals and anthologies, including the Poetry Ireland ReviewIssue 138 tribute to Eavan Boland, and writes fiction and non-fiction. She is an associate lecturer with The Open University and has a PhD in Creative and Critical Writing from the University of Wales, Bangor.
