About this Event
The National Museum of African Art and Shakespeare Theatre Company present a conversation with director Taylor Reynolds and choreographer Ashleigh King about their work on Merry Wives by Ghanian-American playwright Jocelyn Bioh. Bioh’s adaptation of The Merry Wives of Windsor reimagines Shakespeare's classic farce with two West African wives set in a vibrant Harlem setting, celebrating Black joy and community. Heran Sereke Brhan, National Museum of African Art Deputy Director, and LeeAnét Noble, Shakespeare Theatre Company Director of Belonging, join the dialogue.
