About this Event
Our Artist-Led workshops are geared towards age ranges 13-15, and are aimed at giving secondary students the opportunity to receive contact time with an artist who is living, working, studying, and creating within a contemporary context, allowing them to ask questions, and gain feedback.
Goldsmiths CCA has recently partnered with Linked Spheres, an initiative which which looks at the impact of technological advancements on personal relationships. As part of Linked Spheres, artists Nina Davies and Max Doven will be running free workshops at Goldsmiths CCA between October to and December.
“If algorithms were characters in our lives, what would they say to us?" This intriguing question serves as the guiding premise to For an Imaginary Page. In this workshop For an imaginary page with Nina Davis, participants use TikTok feeds as a springboard for creative writing, crafting fictional stories from content served by algorithms. This unique approach encourages both critical thinking about our digital lives and imaginative narrative construction.
Sessions are available between 9:45 - 11:45 pm (2 hours) on Mondays.
Alternative dates and times are available by special request. The workshops can accommodate 11-15 students. Workshops are free and are allocated on a first come first served basis. The Artist is able to work with a maximum of two schools.
The Galleries are wheelchair accessible. If you would like to request assistance, or discuss access, please get in touch. To share feedback, subscribe for updates, or for any questions you may have, please email our Engagement Producer, Adrianna Whittingham.
