Artist Workshop: Experimental Painting
About this Event
About the Day
Working from a live model, this workshop is an invitation to experiment, take creative risks, and push past your usual habits. Through a series of exercises designed to challenge how you see and paint, you'll be encouraged to loosen up, try unfamiliar techniques, and discover what happens when you let go of the need for a "perfect" result. Expect to surprise yourself.
Led by Artist Pippa Hale-Lynch. All abilities welcome, all materials provided. Max participants 6.
The workshop will take place at Haus Of Ode, a beautiful seafront tattoo studio with stunning sea views. Haus Of Ode: https://www.instagram.com/hausofode/?hl=en
There will be a one-hour lunch break from 1–2pm. Lunch isn’t provided, but there are plenty of nearby cafés and shops to explore. Several paid parking options are also available close by.
What to Expect
The day moves through a series of exercises that gradually build in scale and ambition — from fast, gestural warm-ups to a final sustained painting. Along the way you'll be guided out of your comfort zone with one-on-one support available throughout.
What's Included
All materials are provided. You are also welcome to bring your own.
