Join us in the gallery this Sunday, October 4 from 1-3 pm for an artist-led exhibition tour of Tay Butler: The Great Camouflage.
The tour will kick off with an introduction from the exhibition’s curator, Amarie Gipson and Butler will discuss the inspiration and conceptual framework guiding his new work.
Tay Butler: The Great Camouflage features a series of paintings inspired by World War II-era propaganda posters, screenprints and collages infused with elements from war maps, sports jerseys and army duffles that pay homage to Black freedom fighters.
